The SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit team has been shortlisted at the Personnel Today Awards 2016. The company is up for ‘Graduate Scheme of the Year’ at the forthcoming ceremony.
The Personnel Today Awards reward Human Resources (HR) teams and individuals that have made an impact with their people policies and delivered tangible benefits to their organisations.
SNC-Lavalin’s Graduate Development Scheme has been in place for 18 years. The company recognised that employing graduates and growing its own talent pipeline was essential for succession planning, following the privatisation of the railway industry.
Today, the SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit scheme is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
The other nominees for ‘Graduate Scheme of the Year’ are BAE Systems and Dwr Cymru Welsh Water. The winners of each award category will be revealed on 22nd November 2016 at an event at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
