Yolanda Favors from the SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit team in North America has been invited to join the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) leadership class of 2017.
Leadership APTA is the association’s principal professional development programme . It is designed to develop and support experienced managers, who aspire to hold senior and executive positions within the public transportation sector.
Each year, Leadership APTA selects 25 applicants from APTA member organisations to participate in an intensive year-long programme . This includes skill-building workshops, conferences, executive roundtables, team leadership projects, teleconferences, online meetings and web-based events.
Compliance Manager Yolanda Favors is a qualified attorney. She joined SNC-Lavalin in 2015 and has over 28 years’ experience in government compliance, contracts and real estate. Most recently, she worked on the DC Streetcar project.
Yolanda comments: “It’s an honour to have been selected for the APTA leadership class. Participating in the scheme will allow me to share my knowledge with likeminded professionals and benefit from their combined wealth of experience. It will also give me the opportunity to use my legal and analytical skills to examine problems and cultivate innovative solutions with industry experts.”
