International rail consultancy, Interfleet has announced the appointment of its new Regional Director for Australasia.
Mark Hughes will take on the role from 1 January 2015. He has worked for Interfleet in a number of roles since 2003, managing the London business for five years before moving to Australia last year with his family as Interfleet’s Transport Advisory Director.
Mark has 20 years of experience and awareness of industry issues throughout the rail and the wider transport environment having held frontline operations, traincrew and performance management roles, and as a consultant has supported numerous franchise bids in the areas of the Operations and Service Delivery Plan.

Mark lives with his wife and children in Sydney and will be based in the Sydney office. He will head up the team of 70 employees across offices in Australia and New Zealand.
