SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit (formerly Interfleet) has started the year with new appointments in Sweden. This growth follows the business rebranding and fully integrating with its Canadian parent company.
The Rail Projects team within Infrastructure has announced two new additions; Senior Consultants Tomas Karlsson and Mattias Väversund.
Tomas Karlsson is already a familiar face at SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit. Most recently, he was part of the Sales & Marketing team. Previously, he was a Consultant and Office Manager at the Västerås office. Tomas moved over to Rail Projects in January. His extensive experience in project management, quality certification and technical investigations - along with his excellent problem solving skills - made him an ideal candidate.
Mattias Väversund takes up his new position at the beginning of February. He joins from Keolis, where he worked as a Project Manager, developing bids on E24 commuter rail operations in Stockholm. This included the construction of Keolis' Swedish track organisation.

Jessica Cronholm joined the Risk and Safety team on the 18th January. Jessica comes from Nackademien, where she graduated as a train construction engineer. During her training, Jessica completed a nine month internship at Strukton and has BASÄVISTA and KAT19 permissions. She has also worked as cleaner and mystery shopper in the subway system. Jessica will work across both Infrastructure and Risk and Safety.
The final employee on the move is Daniel Remes, who will transfer from the Project Management team to AM Systems on the 1st February. Daniel’s extensive analytics knowledge will strengthen the department’s data analysis offering.
