International rail consultancy, Interfleet, has strengthened its Rail Control Systems (RCS) team with some recent additions to the team.

Richard Lawes has joined as Head of Communications and Information Systems to lead this area within the team. He has joined from Network Rail where he has been leading their Telecoms Technology team in innovation, technical strategies, technology introduction and assurance. He will be based in the London office, reporting to RCS Director, Matt Phillips.

Maurizio Palumbo, has joined the team from Alstom Transport in Bologna, Italy, as a Consultant to expand the team’s wayside ETCS expertise, and will report to Carine Marin, Interfleet’s Head of ETCS. David O’Rourke has joined as Head of Conventional and Legacy Signalling from Bombardier, and will report to Andrew Love, Interfleet’s Head of Train Control and Signalling. They will all be based in the Interfleet London office.

RCS Director, Matt Phillips, said: “These recent appointments further strengthen our position within the signalling and control systems arena and support our plans to become the whole system, whole lifecycle consultancy of choice across the rail industry. It’s an exciting time to be in this industry and I welcome all our new recruits to the team and look forward to working with them.”
