Interfleet, SNC-Lavalin’s international rail consultancy, has announced a senior appointment within its Rolling Stock division. Emma Doherty recently joined the Business Consulting team as Principal Consultant.
Emma boasts over 15 years’ experience in the rail sector. She came to Interfleet from Transport for London, where she was the Head of Engineering for London Trams. In this position, Emma was responsible for the successful delivery of all rolling stock and infrastructure assets into operation, during a time of an unprecedented growth in passenger journeys.
Previously, Emma was the Infrastructure Manager for London Trams. Working from the Tramlink Depot, she managed a significant change programme to bring the infrastructure maintenance service in-house.
In her new role, Emma will draw upon her extensive railway expertise to provide strategic consultancy services for Interfleet’s client base.
UK Regional Director, Michael Grace, comments: “Emma’s knowledge and professionalism made her the perfect candidate. It is also clear that she’s well-known and respected within the industry, as we began receiving enquiries about Emma even before her official start date!”
Emma will play a key part in continuing to grow and develop the business as Interfleet re-brands. The company recently announced that from 1st January 2016, it will change its name to SNC-Lavalin and fully integrate into its Canadian parent.
