What attracted you to the SNC-Lavalin graduate scheme?
I was attracted to the scheme’s rotational nature, which provides opportunities to work within various sections both internally and externally. I also liked the fact that it provides a fast track route to Chartership, with support from a mentor and buddy.

Where did you study before?
Loughborough University.

What course did you do?
Electronic / Electrical Engineering.

What’s your current role at SNC-Lavalin?
Graduate Engineer.

What interests you about your role?
The diversity of the placements and tasks. I have had an amazing opportunity to work at a depot and learn firsthand about trains and maintenance for six weeks. It’s very different from typical day-to-day 'sitting in the office' work.

What opportunities have you had since you’ve worked here?
I have written a modification procedure within the Electrical section, I have attended an audit with the Assurance team. I also competed in the Railway Challenge with the other graduates and have had a six week placement on a depot.

What other teams have you worked in while on the graduate scheme?
Rolling Stock Enhancements, Rail Control Systems and the Bid team.
